InputConfig is completely free on the Mac App Store.

These are small free pages that each answer one question, and they all run right in your browser. They come in eight suites, and every page ends with how it fits with InputConfig: the page checks or practices something in the browser, and the app is what maps your controller, keyboard, mouse or MIDI gear on the Mac. The testers read a real controller, so connect yours and press a button on it. The sound and screen tests check a microphone, speakers, a camera or a display. The music tools cover practice, from a piano and a metronome to ear training, and the MIDI tools play, record, show and change MIDI, with or without a MIDI keyboard. MIDI on a Mac ties those together.
