Granblue Fantasy: Relink on a Mac with a controller
The Granblue Fantasy: Relink layout is built into InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
On a Mac: No Mac version. It can stream to a Mac from a Windows PC you own, or from a cloud service that carries it. The stream normally passes a controller to the game's own scheme.
Yes, Granblue Fantasy: Relink plays on a Mac with a controller, streamed from a Windows PC or a cloud service that carries it. This layout covers a stream that misses the pad: four skills on the shoulders and triggers, attacks on two face buttons, and the Link Attack and the Skybound Art on buttons of their own. It is a controller game at heart, and the keyboard layout admits it.
The layout, control by control
How the layout thinks
- Move and camera. The left stick walks on W, A, S and D. The right stick moves the mouse at speed 18.
- Attack. Normal attack on the left face button (left click), special or charged attack on the top (right click).
- Skills. Skills 1 to 4 on L1, R1, L2 and R2, sent as the number keys 1 to 4.
- Defend and move. Tap the right face button to dodge (E) and hold it to guard (Q). Jump on the bottom (Space).
- Big moments. Link Attack on Back (R), Skybound Art on the left stick click (G), and lock on with the right stick click (middle click).
- Potions and menus. Mega potion on the PS or Guide button (Z). Revive, blue and green potions on D-pad left, right and up (V, C, X). Interact on D-pad down (F), and the menu on Start.
The dodge button is a hold row: a tap dodges, and holding it guards.
Tune it
- Guard sooner. If the guard comes in too late, lower the hold time in the dodge row's Options, beside Holding sends.
- One potion at a time. Tick D-pad one direction at a time on the preset's page, so a quick press never brushes the next potion.
Tick D-pad one direction at a time, and a revive never turns into a blue potion.
If the game sees the pad
If a skill in Relink fires twice, the game is reading the pad and the preset at once, so press Deactivate.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink controller support: controller or keyboard
Steam's store page lists partial controller support for Granblue Fantasy: Relink: it plays on a controller, but some parts, such as a launcher, text entry or a menu, still expect a keyboard or a mouse. This layout sends keys and mouse movement from the pad, which can cover the parts the game's own support leaves out.
From Steam's listing, checked in October 2026. Every game's listing is in Mac games with controller support.
If your controller is not working in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
When Granblue Fantasy: Relink does not react to your controller on a Mac, check these in order:
- Check that the Mac sees the controller. Open the gamepad tester and press a button. If nothing lights up there, the problem is the connection, and a controller that is connected but not working covers that first.
- Press a button after the stream has started. A stream only picks up a controller that is paired with the Mac, and a browser shows a controller to a page only after a button press. Start Granblue Fantasy: Relink, then press any button. Streaming from your own PC has its own checks, in how to stream PC games to a Mac with a controller.
- Play it from keys. If Granblue Fantasy: Relink still ignores the pad, activate this layout. It sends the keyboard and mouse controls Granblue Fantasy: Relink already reads. Turn the game's own controller option off while it runs, or a press can arrive twice. The layout works whether or not Granblue Fantasy: Relink ever sees the controller.
Get it in two clicks
- Open InputConfig and click Smart Preset Maker on the welcome screen.
- Search for Granblue Fantasy: Relink and pick it. The layout is created as a preset in your sidebar, named and ready.
- Press Activate. Every row can be changed afterwards: the editor's Scan button rebinds any control the moment you touch it.

Questions
Does Granblue Fantasy: Relink run on a Mac?
Granblue Fantasy: Relink does not run natively on a Mac. It streams from a Windows PC or a cloud service that carries it, and the stream usually passes a controller through. This layout plays it from a pad the stream does not see.
Can I play Granblue Fantasy: Relink on an M1 Mac or a MacBook Air?
Yes, through a stream. Granblue Fantasy: Relink runs on the other end, on a cloud service or your own PC, so the Mac only plays the video and sends your input. An M1 MacBook Air streams it like any other Mac.
