MIDI: DAW Performance preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
This is the expressive preset: the right stick bends pitch and drives the mod wheel, the triggers send volume and expression, and the four face buttons play the notes of a C major chord with a light haptic pulse. Pick InputConfig as a MIDI input in the DAW and play.
Right stick = pitch + mod, triggers = volume/expression, face buttons play C major.
Where it is in the app
It ships in the MIDI & Creative folder of the sidebar. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. The file below is the same preset, inactive and ungrouped.

12 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- Values that follow the controls. Variable Sensitivity is on for the stick and trigger rows, so the CC values track how far you push.
- Your own scale. Change the four note rows to any notes. The gamepad instrument guide has a pentatonic layout to download.
Choose InputConfig as a MIDI input in the DAW before anything else, or nothing plays.

To add one, drop the file on InputConfig's Dock icon, or see importing a preset. It arrives inactive, and any launch target in it is cleared.
