Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on a Mac with a controller

Download on the Mac App StoreThe Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown layout is built into InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.

On a Mac: No Mac version: Steam lists it for Windows only, and the App Store edition lists iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro, not the Mac. Xbox Cloud Gaming carries it in the US and reads a controller directly.

Yes, The Lost Crown plays on a Mac with a controller, as a stream. There is no Mac version: Steam sells it for Windows, and the App Store build runs on iPhone and iPad, not the Mac. Xbox Cloud Gaming carries it and reads your controller itself, and a stream from a Windows PC usually passes the pad too. When one does not, this layout plays the keyboard game.

How the layout thinks

  • Move. The left stick moves. Up aims and climbs, down crouches and aims down. The D-pad moves the camera or aim with the arrow keys.
  • Fight. Melee (left click) is the left face button, the bow (right click) the top, and jump the bottom. The right bumper dashes (Shift).
  • Defend and surge. Hold the left trigger to parry (Left Ctrl). Hold the right trigger with attack for an Athra surge (G).
  • Powers. The right face button is the Dimensional Claw (F), the left stick click Clairvoyance (C), and the right stick click Shadow of the Simurgh (B). The Home button is the Memory Shard (V).
  • Heal and menus. The left bumper drinks a potion (Q). The map (Tab) is on Create and the pause menu on Options.

Parry is a held trigger, so it is always one finger away in a fight.

Tune it

  • Amulets. Put their menu key on a chord.
  • Memory Shard elsewhere. If the Home button feels risky, press Scan on that row and move it to the touchpad press.

Move the Memory Shard off Home if you ever hold it too long.

If the stream passes your controller

Xbox Cloud Gaming reads your pad directly, and then the game's own scheme is the one to use. Keep this preset off while the game has the pad, or every press lands twice. Jump once with the preset off, and if Sargon jumps, play on the game's scheme.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown controller support: controller or keyboard

Steam's store page lists full controller support for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, so the game was made to be played on a controller, menus included. A keyboard and mouse work as well, and the choice is yours. On a Mac, use the game's own controller support first when it sees your pad. This layout is for a pad it does not see, or for buttons it will not let you move.

From Steam's listing, checked in October 2026. Every game's listing is in Mac games with controller support.

If your controller is not working in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

When Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown does not react to your controller on a Mac, check these in order:

  1. Check that the Mac sees the controller. Open the gamepad tester and press a button. If nothing lights up there, the problem is the connection, and a controller that is connected but not working covers that first.
  2. Play it from keys. If Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown still ignores the pad, activate this layout. It sends the keyboard and mouse controls Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown already reads. Turn the game's own controller option off while it runs, or a press can arrive twice. The layout works whether or not Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown ever sees the controller.

Get it in two clicks

  1. Open InputConfig and click Smart Preset Maker on the welcome screen.
  2. Search for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and pick it. The layout is created as a preset in your sidebar, named and ready.
  3. Press Activate. Every row can be changed afterwards: the editor's Scan button rebinds any control the moment you touch it.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown controls: every button and the key it sends

The Sends column is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown's default keyboard and mouse controls, as this layout expects them. If you changed a key in the game's settings, change the same row in InputConfig.
