Persona 3 Reload on a Mac with a controller
The Persona 3 Reload layout is built into InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
On a Mac: No Mac version. Steam lists it for Windows only. It streams from a Windows PC you own, or from a cloud service if one carries it, and a stream normally passes a controller to the game's own scheme.
Yes, Persona 3 Reload plays on a Mac with a controller, as a stream. When the stream misses your pad, this layout sends confirm, cancel, camera and battle keys. It is turn-based and menu-driven, which means a stream's latency never costs you Tartarus.
The layout, control by control
How the layout thinks
- Move and look. The left stick moves, and the right stick rotates the camera with the game's camera keys (J, L, I and K).
- Menus. Confirm (Space) is the bottom face button, and cancel and the log (B) the right. The top face button shows details and changes the party (F).
- Battle. The right trigger is the basic attack (L) and the left trigger guards (C). The left face button analyzes (Q), the left bumper triggers Rush (Tab), and the left stick click opens Persona skills (E). The right stick click opens items (R).
- Tactics. D-pad up sets Tactics (W), down unleashes Theurgy (T), and left and right scroll the status screen (Z and X).
- Run and menus. The right bumper dashes (Left Shift). Back opens the map (M) and Options the system menu (H).
Confirm and cancel are where every menu expects them, so the calendar flows by.
Tune it
- Dash. It is already the right bumper.
- Skip. Put the dialogue skip key on a chord, for scenes you have seen before.
A skip chord saves an evening on a second run through the year.
If the stream passes your controller
When the stream gives the game your pad, use Atlus's own scheme. Keep this preset off while the pad comes through, so nothing is pressed twice. Open the system menu with the preset off, because a menu that opens means the stream passes your pad.
Persona 3 Reload controller support: controller or keyboard
Steam's store page lists full controller support for Persona 3 Reload, so the game was made to be played on a controller, menus included. A keyboard and mouse work as well, and the choice is yours. On a Mac, use the game's own controller support first when it sees your pad. This layout is for a pad it does not see, or for buttons it will not let you move.
From Steam's listing, checked in October 2026. Every game's listing is in Mac games with controller support.
If your controller is not working in Persona 3 Reload
When Persona 3 Reload does not react to your controller on a Mac, check these in order:
- Check that the Mac sees the controller. Open the gamepad tester and press a button. If nothing lights up there, the problem is the connection, and a controller that is connected but not working covers that first.
- Press a button after the stream has started. A stream only picks up a controller that is paired with the Mac, and a browser shows a controller to a page only after a button press. Start Persona 3 Reload, then press any button. Streaming from your own PC has its own checks, in how to stream PC games to a Mac with a controller.
- Play it from keys. If Persona 3 Reload still ignores the pad, activate this layout. It sends the keyboard and mouse controls Persona 3 Reload already reads. Turn the game's own controller option off while it runs, or a press can arrive twice. The layout works whether or not Persona 3 Reload ever sees the controller.
Get it in two clicks
- Open InputConfig and click Smart Preset Maker on the welcome screen.
- Search for Persona 3 Reload and pick it. The layout is created as a preset in your sidebar, named and ready.
- Press Activate. Every row can be changed afterwards: the editor's Scan button rebinds any control the moment you touch it.

Questions
Does Persona 3 Reload run on a Mac?
Persona 3 Reload does not run natively on a Mac. Steam lists it for Windows only. Stream it from a Windows PC you own, or from a cloud service if one carries it.
Can I play Persona 3 Reload on an M1 Mac or a MacBook Air?
Yes, through a stream. Persona 3 Reload runs on the other end, on a cloud service or your own PC, so the Mac only plays the video and sends your input. An M1 MacBook Air streams it like any other Mac.
