Toggle Mode preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
In this showcase preset, each face button latches its output with one press and releases it with the next, and the controller pulses on each change. It is the pattern for sticky Shift, a held mouse button for one-handed dragging, push-to-talk that stays on, and auto-run in a game.
Each face button toggles a key instead of holding while pressed. A = sticky Shift, B = sticky Cmd, X = mute toggle, Y = auto-run W.
Where it is in the app
It ships in the Feature Showcases folder of the sidebar. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. The file below is the same preset, inactive and ungrouped.
Every binding
| Input | Sends | Options | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| A / Cross | Shift | toggle; vibrate | Toggle Shift held |
| B / Circle | Command | toggle; vibrate | Toggle Command held |
| X / Square | F10 | toggle | Toggle F10 (mute in many apps) |
| Y / Triangle | W | toggle; vibrate | Toggle W held (auto-run) |
4 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- Toggle with turbo. That gives rapid fire that stays on until you press again.
- Toggle with a hold. A button can tap normally and latch only on a hold.
A latched key stays down until you press again, so press once more before you walk away.
