Presentation Remote preset

Download on the Mac App StoreThis preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.

A game controller makes a good presentation clicker for a Mac. A and B go to the next and previous slide, X starts or advances the show with Space, Y sends B to blank the screen, Back / Share leaves the show, and the left stick moves the pointer with the bumpers as clicks. It covers Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides with the keys they share.

A/B advance/back, X starts slideshow, left stick aims a pointer.

Where it is in the app

It ships in the Desktop & Productivity folder of the sidebar. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. The file below is the same preset, inactive and ungrouped.

Notes

  • Hide the pointer. Turn on Hide cursor in the preset's automation section for the show.
  • Take questions. Put Start Dictation on a spare button to speak notes as people ask.

Run through the deck once with the pad before the audience arrives.
