MIDI: Knob Deck preset
This preset ships inside InputConfig, free on the Mac App Store. You don't have to make an account, there are no subscriptions, and nothing is locked. Optimized for Apple silicon.
This is the inbound MIDI preset, where a MIDI keyboard or knob box drives the Mac. The volume knob becomes the Mac's volume fader, the mod wheel scrolls faster the further it is pushed, a knob nudges the arrow keys per step, the sustain pedal is a click, and a key is Return. It runs with no game controller connected.
CC 7 = volume fader, CC 10 pan knob = scroll, CC 71 = arrows, pedal = click.
Where it is in the app
It ships in the MIDI & Creative folder of the sidebar. Activate it, or press Edit to see every row. The file below is the same preset, inactive and ungrouped.

8 rows. Button names are the Xbox / PlayStation pair the editor shows; a Switch Pro Controller fires by position. Options are the row settings that differ from the defaults.
Notes
- Works on first plug-in. Every row listens to any channel and any device, so it answers the first MIDI device you connect.
- Your hardware's numbers. Scan a row again to match your device's CC numbers.
- Three knob modes. The MIDI input page explains the modes it uses.
If a knob does nothing, scan its row again. The CC number is almost always the reason.
